11/9/08 Brick work is done except for the steps and some post for the
deck behind the house. Electric and plumbing rough in are about done,
and work on the hangar doors is proceedings. I'm also getting estimates
on the vinyl siding for the gables and wrapping all the wood.
11/27/08 Progress on house is slow
because we are disassembling a barn
to use some of the materials in the

2/1/09 Insulation about done, should
be ready for drywall very soon.
2/1/09 Vinyl siding is installed and doors and windows wrapped. Hangar doors
are working but still need some tweaking. Garage doors and openers are
installed. I need some dry weather to move some dirt so the porch and garage
can be filled and compacted to make ready for concrete.
2/1/09 Barn is down and wood is being
refurbished for use in the house.
2/9/09 Hanging drywall in living room.
The trusses just above his head are
21 feet from the floor. That is a
scaffold to his right. The ceiling in the
living room will be wood from the barn.
2/9/09 Finishing the drywall ceiling in
the hangar.

2/11/09 All the drywall in hung, the
hangar is taped and the walls and
ceiling are finished with a knock down
texture. The finishers start taping the
joints in the house tomorrow.
2/25/09 Wednesday was a very busy
day. Above-the garage and front porch
floors are poured and finished.
Left-the kitchen cabinets arrived.
Below left-Sam, my brother in law, has
worked very long and hard (and
cheap) to install the electric system.
Below the drywall finishers are
applying the knock-down finish to the
walls.
2/27/09 The concrete finishers are
back to saw the joints in the concrete.
With the dust its hard to get a good
picture.
2/28/09 The cabinets are being
installed.
3/24/09 Yard has been sewn. Straw will go on
Friday. Left below is looking brom balcony
window. The dirt pile should be removed next
week
3/24/09 We had a lot of brick left over
so we decided to make brick steps and
landings. Right above is from hangar
to house. Below hangar bathroom
